Nathan Gollay is an alumni of California Polytechnic SLO in Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies where he had individualized courses of study in cutting-edge technology for the entertainment industry. As a mentee to two-time Academy Award winner and innovator of technological advancement in audio systems, Jack Cashin, Gollay managed a Dolby Atmos certified movie mixing studio that featured 36 surround speakers, an Avid S6 Mixing Board, and a top of the line Barco Projector. It was here that he gained expertise in entertainment technology, and learned that most people have never experienced true surround sound.

During his time there, which included conducting a multitude of demonstrations of the studio to donors and investors, he learned just how big of an impact true surround sound can have. People would walk indifferent and leave uplifted. It became his mission to create technology that brought that effect home, and that mission manifested into Wavefront Audio.
